San José, Calif. - The Mountain West released its revised conference schedule for the 2020-21 season on Tuesday, a slate that features 20 contests against league opponents. Under the new scheduling format, San José State will host 10 league games at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
"We are excited to have a conference season and the opportunity to play against fellow Mountain West teams," says head coach Jamie Craighead. "We have been working daily to be ready to compete for a Mountain West championship."
The Spartans are now set to open conference play on Dec. 21 against Utah State at the Event Center. They will then host the Aggies two days later to complete their first of 10 league series throughout the 2020-21 campaign.
SJSU will also play host to Fresno State (Jan. 8/10), New Mexico (Jan. 21/23), San Diego State (Feb. 8/10) and Wyoming (Feb. 25/27).
Craighead's team will play road games at Boise State (Dec. 31/Jan. 2), Colorado State (Jan. 14/16), Air Force (Jan. 28/30), Nevada (Feb. 13/15) and UNLV (Feb. 19/21).
San José State released its non-conference schedule last week, a five-game slate featuring a season-opener against a Pac-12 opponent and a pair of home contests. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions set by Santa Clara County, fans will not be allowed at the Event Center for home contests.

The Spartans are coming off the program's most successful season in 40 years and enters the 2020-21 campaign with six seniors on its roster. Bolstered by the nation's largest single-season win turnaround a year ago, SJSU finished in a tie for third in the Mountain West standings and reached the semifinals of a conference tournament for just the third time in school history.
