SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
»    Fresno State checks into the two-game tilt with a 3-3 overall mark and is 1-3 in league play. The Bulldogs are coming off their first MW win of the season, an 81-61 decision over Wyoming.

»    Sophomore forward Orlando Robinson has been the top offensive weapon for Fresno State thus far, averaging 18.5 points per game. He is also the Mountain West leader with 10.7 rebounds per game.

DEMANDING RESPECT
»    It would have been easy for the Spartans to have shown up unmotivated for their second game against Boise State after getting thrashed by the Broncos in the first meeting. But that isn't the Spartan Way. SJSU showed up ready to play and gave Boise State all they could handle in a 1-point loss.

»    The Spartans hit 51 percent from the field (29-of-57), including 16-of-28 attempts in the second half. They also knocked down 52 percent from 3-point range (14-of-27).

WELCOME TO THE SHOW
»    It was a debut to remember for junior transfer Jalen Dalcourt. Coming off the bench, the Lafayette, La. product provided an immediate spark as he knocked down 7-of-11 FG attempts, including three triples, for 23 points in his Spartan debut vs. Boise State.

»    Dalcourt's second game was equally impressive as he tied for the team lead in scoring with 18 points against Benedictine Mesa. He hit his first four 3-point attempts and finished 4-for-5 from beyond the arc.

DYNAMIC DUO
»    In game two against Boise State, Richard Washington and Jalen Dalcourt became the first Spartan duo to each score 20 points since Noah Baumann and Michael Steadman against New Mexico in 2019.

RICH IS JUST DIFFERENT
»    Senior guard Richard Washington is averaging 20.2 points per game through eight games in 2020-21, which ranks 2nd in the Mountain West and 40th in NCAA D1.

»    Washington has reached double-figure points in 7-of-8 games, and has four
performances of 20-plus points.

»    Against Benedict Mesa, Washington recorded his second double-double of the season by finishing with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

LACEWELL GETS HIS SHOT
»    After coming off the bench and
struggling to find his shot during the first six games, freshman Nate Lacewell saw something click in game two against Boise State. Making his first career start, the forward scored 11 points and pulled down seven rebounds to help put SJSU in a position to win.

AGEE GETTING IT DONE
»    Senior Ralph Agee has started to hit his stride as of late, averaging 14.3 points per game in his last three starts. Against Boise State, he finished with  13 and 12 points, respectively, before going off for a career-best 18 points against Benedictine Mesa. He came up just shy of a double-double against the Redhawks with a season-best nine rebounds.

RAISING ARIZONA
»    Due to restrictions set in place by Santa Clara County in response to COVID-19, the Spartans have relocated to Phoenix, Arizona to play their 2020-21 conference slate until regulations allow for their return to the Bay Area. Both SJSU men's and women's programs have made the move to Arizona Grand Resort and Spa.
