SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose State senior forward Ralph Agee has been named the Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 1st. The conference made the announcement on Monday.
Agee is the first Spartan to win Mountain West Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors since 2017 when Brandon Clarke won the award on three occasions.
A native of Victorville, Calif., Agee averaged 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds to lead the Spartans to a two-game sweep over Air Force, SJSU's first series sweep over a conference opponent since 2017.
"Ralph is one of our leaders and has done an incredible job at leading our younger guys this season," head coach Jean Prioleau said. "He is playing outstanding basketball right now and was unbelievable against Air Force with 18.5 points and nine rebounds per game."

In game one against the Falcons, Agee tied for a team-best 15 points and scored the most important bucket of the night with 2:17 remaining on a putback dunk that gave the Spartans a decisive 59-58 advantage that they held on to for the victory.
The big man followed up by setting career highs of 22 points and 14 rebounds in game two for his first double-double of the season. Agee was 9-for-11 from the field and his 14 rebounds were the most by a Spartan since 2019 (Christian Anigwe vs. Oregon State).
Agee was a combined 16-for-20 in the two games for 37 points and pulled down 18 combined rebounds.
Agee and the Spartans will look to extend their win streak next Monday, Feb. 8, against San Diego State in the first of two games vs. the Aztecs in San Diego.
