Fairfax, Calif.—San José State women's golfers Antonia Malate and Kajsa Arwefjäll are continuing their solid play from last week as the two are tied for second after two rounds of the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational. The Spartans finished the day in fourth place in the team standings.
The two are tied with four others for second place at one-over 145. Malate started the day with an even-par 72, followed by a one-over 73. She made her first eagle of the season on the par-five #15. Malate was one of 11 players who made an eagle in the first two rounds.
Arwefjäll shot the opposite with a 73 in her first round and a 72 in the second. She has made the third-most birdies at the tournament with eight. Arwefjäll has also made 22 pars over the two rounds. Over the final nine holes of her first round, she shot two-under par and started the second round making four birdies and was three-under through her first nine holes.
Jordyn Parr is tied for 25th at eight-over 152 shooting a 74 in the first round. Louisa Carlbom is tied for 46th at +13, 157, while Jadan Gonzalez is tied for 63rd after shooting a 165.
San José State is in fourth place a +21, 597, two shots behind Stanford and four shots behind second-place Brigham Young. Washington leads the tournament at three-over 579.
