SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose State softball was unable to shake off the rust in their first action in three weeks, falling to Boise State in Saturday's doubleheader by finals of 11-1 and 8-0 at the Spartan Softball Stadium.
The teams will conclude the series tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. PT.
QUICK HITTERS
- The Spartans' lone run of the day came on a RBI single by Arianna Miranda in the third inning of game No. 1.
- Ashley Rico and Joclyn Vidal secured the other two hits for the doubleheader.
- Boise State's Kiele Miller (3-3) picked up the win in game one while Jenessa Ullegue (4-6) was charged with the loss.
- In game two, it was Sara Johnson (2-7) who picked up the win for the Broncos as she tallied nine strikeouts. Caroline Bowman (0-8) pitched all six innings in the losing effort for the Spartans.
