Spartans Set For Mountain West Outdoor Championships

Clovis, Calif. – San Jose State is headed back to Clovis this week for the Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, held at Memorial Stadium on May 13-15.

The meet represents the program's final chance at earning qualifying marks for the NCAA Outdoor Championships later this month.

The Spartans have already traveled to the Central Valley three times this season, previously competing in the Central California and Fresno State Invitationals in addition to the West Coast Relays. The program saw consistent improvement in each meet, giving both the men's and women's teams a fair amount of confidence heading into the conference-wide competition.

"The team has been trusting the process and we have been improving as a whole each week," said director of track and field Kendra Reimer-Gonzales when looking back at the program's regular season finale. "The team is ready to regroup and focus on one final big performance."
