Kajsa Arwefjäll Receives All-America Recognition

San Jose, Calif.— After a successful 2021 spring season, San José State sophomore women's golfer Kajsa Arwefjäll was named an honorable mention Women's Golf Coaches' Association (WGCA) All-America honoree on Friday.
 
Arwefjäll played as an individual at the 2021 NCAA Women's Golf Championships where she tied for 36th.  She advanced to the championships after finishing fifth at the NCAA Stanford Regional where she shot a four-under 67 in the final round and made her only eagle of the season on the par-5 #12.
 
Arwefjäll led the Spartans with a 72.26 stroke average, the fourth-best in school history. She was a first team All-Mountain West honoree and recorded four rounds in the 60s including 67 twice.  Currently ranked 168 on the WAGR, she had seven top-10 finishes on the season.

About the Women's Golf Coaches Association
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 650 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
