BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—Zsófia Muzsnay and Réka Kovács each won a race Saturday and the San José State women's swimmers finished in the top-three of seven races at the Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield.

•The Spartans finished second in the team standings with 361.50 points, as UCSB won the meet with 584 points.
•Muzsnay won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:52.52. She was also second in the 500 freestyle at 5:04.00, and a member of the second-place 400 freestyle relay team.
•Kovács won the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:04.01. She was also third in the 200 freestyle and part of the second-place 400 freestyle relay team.
•In the 200 freestyle, the Spartans placed in four of the top-five spots. After Muzsnay, Reagan Mathieson was second at 1:53.40, Kovács third at 1:53.47 and Ellie Shorten fifth at 1:55.71.
•The Spartans claimed two of the top four spots in the 200 breaststroke as Cali Rowland was third at 2:23.25, followed by Ela Freiman in fourth at 2:23.34.

San José State travels to Stockton next weekend for the Pacific Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, October 23 and 24.
