San José State record:
5-4, 3-2 Mountain West. The Spartans have their first two-game winning streak of the season scoring 27 points for the second consecutive week in a 27-21 win over Wyoming on October 30.

Nevada record: 6-2, 3-1 Mountain West. The Wolf Pack have wins in four of their last five games. Most recently, Nevada defeated in-state rival UNLV, 51-20, on October 29.

Play-by-Play Radio Coverage: KTRB (860 AM, San Francisco) will broadcast the Nevada game. Justin Allegri calls the play-by-play. Kevin Richardson provides commentary. The Nevada broadcast begins at 6:30 p.m. (PT) with a pregame show. The broadcast also is available on the Varsity Network app.

The KTRB AM broadcast also will be available on Sirius SXM App Channel 989.

Television:  FS2 will televise  the Nevada game.  Adam Alexander calls the play-by-play. Devin Gardner will offer analysis. The Nevada telecast begins at 7:00 p.m. (PT).

FS2 is available in Northern California on DirecTV Channel 618, and Xfinity Channel 1209.

First winning streak in 2021: San Jose State heads into the Nevada game with its first winning streak of the season after defeating UNLV, 27-20, on October 21 in Las Vegas, and holding off Wyoming, 27-21, on October 30, at CEFCU Stadium in San Jose.
The last time San Jose State had a three-game winning streak was in 2020 when the Spartans won their first seven games en route to a Mountain West championship.

Aiming for two over .500: San Jose State heads into the Nevada game with its fourth opportunity to go two games over .500 for the season and ensure at least a .500 mark in Mountain West action.

Ground game picking up: San Jose State rushed for a season-high 238 yards on 37 carries in its 27-21 win over Wyoming. The Spartans now have back-to-back 200-plus yard rushing games and have three games this season rushing for 200 or more yards.
After averaging just 76.7 rushing yards per game and scoring three touchdowns in four September contests, San Jose State averaged 180.6 rushing yards per game and ran for eight six-pointers in five October encounters.
The last time San Jose State had at least three 200-plus rushing yardage games in one season was in 2016. The 2015 season was the last time the Spartans gained at least 200 yards on the ground four times in one season.

Pass rush gaining steam: In San Jose State's first six games, the Spartans were credited with 11 quarterback sacks. San Jose State doubled its season total to 22 in the last three games with three sacks each in the San Diego State and Wyoming home games and a season-high five at UNLV.
Viliami Fehoko and Cade Hall are one-two on the Spartans in quarterback sacks with 6.0 and 4.0, respectively.
