San José State volleyball coach Trent Kersten will serve as an assistant coach this week, December 27-30, at the 2021 USA Volleyball National Team Development Program Winter Training Series in Anaheim.
Kersten will be part of the coaching staff for the Girls U16/17 team and under the guidance of head coach Jamie Morrison. Kersten is one of seven assistants including AVCA National Coach of the Year Dani Busboom-Kelly of Louisville.
At this training, Kersten will have the opportunity to positively impact promising young volleyball athletes from across the nation.
Kersten has been a part of the USA Volleyball High Performance programs in the past including the 2019 team that won a gold medal at the High Performance Championships. He was selected to the 2020 U.S. Girls Youth National Training Team coaching staff as an assistant coach.
