FRESNO, Calif. – Trey Anderson had 18 points while Omari Moore added 11 to lead San José State (7-6, 0-1 Mountain West) in a 79-59 loss at Fresno State (11-4, 1-1 Mountain West) from the Save Mart Center in the Spartans first Mountain West contest of the season.

- Trey Smith shot 3-of-8 from the field for eight points
- Caleb Simmons had five off the bench
- Spartans shot 36.4 percent as a team from three
- Orlando Robinson led the Bulldogs with 31
