SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – Meghan Oberg led San José State (3-13, 0-5 Mountain West) in a 74-54 loss to UNLV (14-4, 6-1 Mountain West) inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Wednesday night. Oberg finished with a team-high 14 points and six rebounds.
The Spartans were in striking distance after 30 minutes, but a fourth quarter UNLV scoring surge led to a Lady Rebels victory.

- Oberg led the Spartans in points for the second straight game (4th time this season)
- Ella Ogier scored 12 points and grabbed two rebounds, had two assists and two steals
- Cydni Lewis had 9 points, three rebounds and three steals
- Deja Ross added five points and six rebounds
- The Spartans held UNLV to just 27.5 percent shooting in the first half
- SJSU shot 44 percent in the opening frame
- SJSU tallied 14 assists on 22 made field goals
- The Lady Rebels were 47.1 percent shooting and 50 percent from 3-point range in the final frame.

UP NEXT
San José State has a busy weekend ahead. The Spartans will travel to Air Force for a 2:00 p.m. matchup on Saturday, January 22 before heading back to Albuquerque, N.M. for a make-up game against New Mexico. The contest, originally scheduled for December 28, will tip off at 5:30 p.m. on January 24. The Spartans at Lobos was postponed due to COVID-19 related concerns within the San José State program.
Both games will be available to watch live on the Mountain West Network.
Next Home Game: The Spartans host Utah State at 6:00 p.m. on January 27 and will honor Spartan Alumni. Tickets can be purchased here.
New COVID Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies
Mask Policy:
- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
