SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – Ella Ogier led San José State (3-16, 0-8 Mountain West) in a 63-61 loss to Utah State (7-12, 2-7 Mountain West) inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Thursday night. Ogier finished with a team-high 17 points.
A Spartan foul sent a trailing Utah State to the line with 0.6 seconds on the clock. Kaylin Randhawa made the first to tie the game. She missed the second, but an offensive rebound and put back from Laci Hawthorne decided the game in favor of the Aggies.

- Ogier recorded her sixth straight game in double figures
- Cydni Lewis notched her third double double of the season with 16 points, 10 rebounds
- Meghan Oberg added 11 points and eight rebounds
- SJSU won the points in the paint battle (32-30), second chance points (20-9) and fast break points (12-3)
- The lead changed hands seven times throughout the game with San José State's largest lead (9pts) coming at 3:51 in the first quarter
- Utah State was 51.5 percent shooting in the first half
- The Spartans doubled up Utah State in the third quarter, limiting the Aggies to 3-for-18 shooting in the frame.
- SJSU tallied 11 assists on 23 made field goals

Next Home Game: The Spartans host Boise State at 1:00 p.m. on January 29 and will honor Spartan Alumni. Tickets can be purchased here. Alumni tickets can be purchased here, which also gives alumni members exclusive access to the Hardwood Lounge for reception-style fare and a rally towel.
Saturday's game will be televised live on NBC Bay Area and will also be available to watch live on the Mountain West Network.
New COVID Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies
Mask Policy:
- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
