COLLEGE STATION, Texas— The San José State women's swimming and diving team recorded two top-eight individual finishes and the 400 medley relay team finished fifth as the Spartans finished day two of competition at the 2022 Mountain West Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at the Rec Center Natatorium.

- The Spartans started the night with two swimmers in the 500 finals races. Zsófia Muzsnay finished seventh at 4:45.16, while Réka Kovács finished 22nd at 5:01.57.
- Two Spartans also advanced to the finals in the 200 individual medley. Chloe Limargo finished eighth with a time of 2:03.95. During preliminaries, Limargo swam a career-best 2:02.56 which ranks sixth all-time.
- Ela Freiman finished 18th with a career-best time of 2:04.12, and was second in her heat. Freiman also swam the 10th-fastest time in school history.
- Reagan Mathieson swam a career-best 23.33 in the 50 freestyle to finish 13th.
- The 400 medley relay team of Kayla Craft-Williams, Limargo, Muzsnay and Mathieson swam the ninth-fastest time in school history at 3:42.79 to finish in fifth place.
San José State finished the day in eighth place with 207 points. San Diego State leads the team standings after two days with 643 points.
Day three begins Friday with prelims at 9 a.m. PT. Races include the 400 individual medley, 100 butterfly, 200 free and 100 breaststroke. Finals on Thursday begin at 4:30 p.m. PT with the 200 freestyle relay. All races can be seen on the Mountain West Network, www.themw.com/watch.
