SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Another week, another school record tied for the San José State women's gymnastics team Friday night at the Sacramento State quad meet as the Spartans scored the second-highest team score in school history with a 196.025.

- Jaudai Lopes tied the vault school record a 9.925 to win her fourth vault title of the season. She now holds the record with Shina Cardeno (2006) and Veronica Porte (2009).
- Lopes also won her first all-around title with a career-best 39.350, tying for the seventh-best all-around score in school history.
- The vault team also scored the second-best score in school history with a 49.125, just missing the record of 49.150, set at the 2015 MPSF Championships. Lopes led the team with her 9.925, followed by Madison Kirsch with a career-best 9.900, Lauren Macpherson at 9.825, Micheala Gentry at 9.750, Jada Mazury at 9.725 and Cameron Kelperis at 9.650.
- The Spartans swept the event titles Friday night. Macpherson won the bars with a career-best 9.875 and tied for first on floor with Cameron Kelperis at 9.875. Kirsch tied for first on beam with a 9.875. Lopes won the floor and all-around.
- After starting the season with no team score at 196.000 or higher, the team has now scored a 196+ in two of the past three meets.
- The Spartans also are etching themselves into the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation record book with six more entries.
- Vault 49.125 – 5th place and highest since 2015

- Team Score – 196.025 – T7th place
- Jaudai Lopes – All-Around 39.350 – T13th; Vault 9.925 – T2nd, highest since 2014
- Madison Kirsch – Vault 9.900 – T6th
San José State returns home on Sunday, February 27, for the team's final home meet of the season. The Spartans host UC Davis inside the Provident Credit Union for a 2 p.m. meet. We will also be honoring our five gymnasts who will be in their final meet at home – Tia Gin, Jasmine Henley, Antonia Marquez, Carli Orcutt and Mercedez Sanchez.
