San José State head coach Trent Kersten will be one of 50 coaches from around the country who will assist U.S. Women's Head Coach Karch Kiraly. He continues to be involved with the national team program after serving as an assistant coach at the USAV National Team Development Program Winter Training Series this past December.
The Open Program will offer professional development opportunities for attending coaches through classroom sessions with National Team staff. During the program, coaches will help facilitate court activity, evaluate athletes and collect performance analytics.
"I am excited to bring Haylee, Sarah and Mia to the National Team Open Program," said Kersten. "I am very proud of each of them and cannot wait to watch them compete with some of the best volleyball student-athletes at the Olympic Training Center."
