SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – Cydni Lewis led San José State (4-24, 1-16 Mountain West) in a 80-58 loss to New Mexico (23-8, 14-4 Mountain West) inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center on Friday night. Lewis finished with 23 points and eight rebounds in her 123rd game as a Spartan, marking a new program record in games played.
San Jose State seniors were honored before the game with their families as they played their final home game. All five seniors logged at least 20 minutes in Friday's matchup.
- Meghan Oberg went 3-4 from behind the 3-point line for nine points
- The Spartans held New Mexico to just 19 percent from 3-point
- San Jose State's bench outscored New Mexico 17-15
- SJSU won the fourth quarter 16-15
UP NEXT: The Spartans are on the road at Boise State to close out the regular season on February 28. Monday night's contest is set for 5:30 p.m. and will air on the Mountain West Network.
New COVID Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies
Mask Policy:
- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
