SAN JOSE, Calif. - Jocylyn Vidal went 3-for-5 with two RBIs on Friday night in San José State's (6-5, 0-0 Mountain West) double header sweep of Cal Poly (0-7, 0-0 Big West) at Spartan Softball Stadium. The Spartans edged out a win in the first game, 2-1, on a walk off in the 8th inning and stormed back with a 4-1 victory in the second game. San José State did not record a single fielding error in two games.

GAME 1
- Caroline Bowman (2-2) started the game in the circle and threw 6.0 innings.
- Bowman had three strikeouts, walked three batters and gave up one run before Jenessa Ullegue (3-0) came in and faced six batters in relief to get the win
- Alyssa Graham stole home in the first inning to give the Spartans the early advantage
- Five Spartans recorded hits in the win, including Vidal who went 2-for-2
- In the bottom of the 8th, Vidal reached on a throwing error by the pitcher and Jules Ronquillo scored
GAME 2
- Graham hit a solo shot down the left field line in the 3rd inning (her first home run of the season)
- Graham went 2-for-3 with one RBI
- Lacie Ham (2-3) threw 4.1 innings and was given the win in the circle with six strikeouts
- Ullegue (S, 1) earned her first save of the season, pitching 2.2 innings and allowing one run and three hits
- The Spartans defense stranded nine Cal Poly runners on base
NEXT UP: The Spartans host Santa Clara Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Spartan Softball Stadium. The contest will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network.
