Spartans Have Successful Meet at Washington Friday Night

SEATTLE, Wash.—Three Spartans won event titles Friday night as the San José State women's gymnastics team posted a 195.400 in a dual meet at Washington in the team's final meet before the conference championship.

  • Madison Kirsch tied for first on the vault with a 9.900. This was her fourth vault title of the season and tied her career-best score.
  • Jada Mazury won the bars for the third consecutive meet with a 9.925.
  • Emma Milne tied her school record on beam with a 9.925 to tie for first. She has scored a 9.925 on beam five times in her career.
  • Mazury also won the all-around crown with a 39.350, the third time she reached the score this season.
  • The beam team achieved a 49.225 for the second consecutive week, tying for the fourth-best beam score in school history.

 San José State now prepares for the 2022 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships at UC Davis next Saturday, March 19 at 2 p.m.
