SAN JOSE, Calif. - Elisha Guidry, Marist Talavou, Chase Williams, Malik Williams, Michael Dansby, Ethan Powell and Dejon Roney will all join the Spartans for the 2022 football season, announced by head coach Brent Brennan on Friday.
"We are excited to welcome this latest group of great student-athletes to the Spartans," Brennan said. "SJSU is an incredible institution that attracts student-athletes from a variety of backgrounds and we can't wait to get started."

- Transfer from UCLA
- Saw action in five games in 2021 as a reserve in the secondary and on special teams (Hawaii, ASU, Colorado, USC, Cal)
- Played in all seven games starting at safety against Oregon and Arizona (2020)
- Saw action in all 12 games, with starts in each of the last nine games (2019)
- Posted a career-high five tackles in games at Washington State and at USC (2019)
- Had a career-high 32 tackles in 2019

- Played four seasons of football at St. John Bosco High School in the offensive line, captaining one year

- Appeared in one game vs. Montana State (9/4)
- Went to Hayward High School
- Helped lead his team to a WACC Shoreline Championship as a senior
Michael Dansby | 6-0 | 175 | Fr. | DB | Oakland, Calif.
- Played one season of football at Oakland High School before transferring and playing at McClymonds High School
- Two-way player at McClymonds racking up 178 yds, five completions, four touchdowns as a wide receiver and one interception as a defensive back
- First Team All-Metro as a wide receiver
- McClymonds High School State champion for football and track
Ethan Powell | 6-3 | 210 | Fr. | LB | San Bernardino, Calif.
- Played four seasons of football at Cajon High School as a wide receiver and defensive back while being named captain his final season
- Notched three touchdowns, 100 yards receiving and a forced fumble recovery for a touchdown
- First team All-C.I.F. football division 2
