Spartans Fall in First Round of MPSF Invite

PALO ALTO, Calif. — Mark Kis and Gal Haimovich each scored two goals as No. 9 San Josè State (4-5) fell 12-9 against No. 7 Long Beach State (9-3) in the first round of the MPSF Invite at Stanford University. 

  • The Spartans scored three goals in the second quarter alone, which allowed them to be down by just one going into halftime. 
  • Javi Ibanez, Nikki Mathiesen, Marko Radanovich and Bence Szabo all scored on the afternoon. 
  • After three quarters, SJSU found themselves down by just two goals. 
  • This game was San Josè State's seventh straight match away from home.
