SARATOGA, Calif. - Nikola Nikolic and Bende Pardi each had a pair of goals to open their 2022 campaign and lead No. 9 San José State (1-0) in a 10-8 win over Santa Clara (0-1) Saturday in the South Bay Invite at the West Valley College Pool.
- Marko Radanovich, Mark Kis, Laszlo Szieben, Bence Szabo, Niels Hofmeijer and Garrett Johnson also scored goals for the Spartans.
- Jamie Steingraf stopped nine in net and had six steals.
- Radanovic and Pardi both had five shot attempts.
- Szieben had two steals for SJSU
- Nikki Mathiesen had two assists and Pardi had one.
