COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State's Chevan Cordeiro was named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Cordeiro, a junior quarterback from Honolulu, Hawaii, threw for a season-high 314 yards while having a hand in three touchdowns in the Spartans 33-16 win at Wyoming on Saturday night.

- Cordeiro is in his first season with the Spartans after transferring from Hawaii.
- Cordeiro completed 21 of 37 passing attempts for 314 yards and one passing touchdown in the win over Wyoming.
- Cordeiro also ran for 24 yards and two rushing touchdowns against Wyoming.
- The Spartans generated a season-high 456 yards of total offense against Wyoming.
- Cordeiro has thrown for 1,078 yards with four passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns this season.
- The Spartans have yet to turn it over on offense this season.
- This is Cordeiro's first MW award since coming to SJSU.
