FRESNO, Calif.— The 800 free relay team led the way for the Spartans as San Josè State took third in the event defeating Washington State and coming in ahead of San Diego State for the first time in school history on day one.
- Felicity Passon took second in the 100 yard butterfly with a 55:40.
- Emma Myburgh placed in the top 10 of the 100 yard backstroke with a 1:03.90.
- Ela Freiman and Reagan Mathieson both finished in the top 15 of the 400 yard Individual Medley.
- Mya Azzopardi, Amelia Snyder, Mathieson and Passon all made up the 800 free relay team that came in third with a time of 7:31.88, almost three seconds faster than Washington State.
NEXT UP: The Spartans will compete in day two of the Chick-Fil-A Classic in Fresno on Saturday, Oct. 7.
