Spartans Dominate in First Day of CSUN Women's Tennis Fall Invitational

DAY ONE RESULTS

NORTHRIDGE, Calif. -
Irena Muradyan, Alba Pedrero Galindo, Carolina Millan and Lara Marco Mas each won a pair of matches to lead San José State in a 10-1 first day at the Northridge Hidden Duals part of the Cal State Northridge Women's Tennis Fall Invitational at the Matador Tennis Complex in Northridge, Calif. on Friday.

  • The Spartans swept the seven individual matches against Idaho and one individual match against Cal State Fullerton.
  • Against Idaho, Muradyan won 6-1, 6-0, Pedrero Galindo won 6-4, 6-3, Raquel Villan Pereira won 6-4, 6-4, Millan won 6-1, 3-6, 6-0, Marco Mas won 6-4, 6-4, Olaya Bances Iglesias won 6-1, 6-0 and Rozalina Youseva won 6-0, 6-1.
  • Olaya Bances Iglesias took her match against Cal State Fullerton 6-2, 6-2.
  • On the doubles side, Muradyan/Pedrero Galindo won 6-1 and Millan/Marco Mas won 6-3 with both matches against Youngstown State.
