"This fall season we have had historic accomplishments in athletics competition at SJSU, and being able to bring our fans additional content through our partnership with NBC Sports Bay Area is part of our key initiatives," said Konya. "Our volleyball team has a record-tying 13 wins in Mountain West action, and we are very fortunate to have Team USA's Karch Kiraly serving as our TV analyst. We will also broadcast additional winter sport contests, including women's basketball and women's gymnastics after the New Year."

  • SJSU will televise its first-ever men's basketball game on NBC Sports Bay Area

  • SJSU broadcasted two women's basketball games on NBC Sports Bay Area last season, and will add three more this year
  • ESPN senior writer and SJSU alum Marc Spears will join several of the TV broadcasts for men's and women's basketball
  • San José State will announce its remaining schedule on NBC Sports Bay Area and California later this year

"I want to thank Jeff (Konya) and Scott (MacDonald) for their efforts in making this happen for our program," said women's volleyball head coach Trent Kersten. "The team is having another record-breaking season, and this is a great way to showcase all their hard work while recognizing our tremendous seniors on a top regional network like NBC Sports Bay Area. Volleyball legend Karch Kiraly will provide ample insight into the skill level of our team and we are honored to have him as part of the first TV broadcast ever in SJSU volleyball history."
