SAN JOSE, Calif. – Tibet Görener went 5-for-10 from three and Alvaro Cardenas hit three 3-pointers to lead San José State (3-1) in a 85-76 loss to Hofstra (4-0) Thursday night at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- Görener tied his career-high with five 3-pointers and had 17 points
- Cardenas tied a career-high with 17 points and also had five assists on the night
- Omari Moore added 16 points, six assists and five rebounds
- Sage Tolbert III had 12 boards and eight points
- Ibrahima Diallo went 3-of-6 from the field with six points
- The Spartans shot 46.3 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from three
- Hofstra caught fire in the second half going 7-for-11 from three to pull away
