SJSU Dominates Against CSUMB

SAN JOSE, Calif.— Jada Holland dominated Tuesday night with 19 points as SJSU defeated Cal State Monterey Bay 81-43 in their first and only exhibition game to start the 2022-23 women's basketball season. 

A Strong Start 

  • Marisa Davis-Jones (10) Sidney Richards (9), Jasmine Singleton (7) and Amhyia Moreland (10) all scored at least seven points to help lead the Spartans.
  • SJSU shot 50.7 percent from the field in comparison to 33.3 percent for CSUMB. 
  • Aarion Nichols led SJSU with 12 rebounds.
  • In the third quarter alone, the Spartans 63.2 percent from the field. 
  • In the first quarter alone, SJSU recorded 11 steals.
