SAN JOSE, Calif.—Omari Moore scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half to lead the San José State men's basketball team to a 69-66 exhibition win over Cal State LA Friday night inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.

- Moore was 9-of-14 from the field including 3-for-7 from three-point range. He also dished out a team-best five assists in the win.
- Sage Tolbert III had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He was 5-for-8 from the free throw line and hit three free throws over the final 2:33 of the game to give the Spartans the win.
- The Spartans trailed at halftime 39-35, but used a 12-2 scoring run over a six-minute stretch in the second half to take a 56-49 lead they would not relinquish.
- San José State shot 46.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range.
UP NEXT – The Spartans open the regular season with a home game against Georgia Southern on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m., inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
