Moore Leads Spartans In Exhibition Win Over Golden Eagles

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Omari Moore scored 16 of his 22 points in the second half to lead the San José State men's basketball team to a 69-66 exhibition win over Cal State LA Friday night inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
 

  • Moore was 9-of-14 from the field including 3-for-7 from three-point range. He also dished out a team-best five assists in the win.
  • Sage Tolbert III had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He was 5-for-8 from the free throw line and hit three free throws over the final 2:33 of the game to give the Spartans the win.
  • The Spartans trailed at halftime 39-35, but used a 12-2 scoring run over a six-minute stretch in the second half to take a 56-49 lead they would not relinquish.
  • San José State shot 46.4 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three-point range.

 
UP NEXT – The Spartans open the regular season with a home game against Georgia Southern on Tuesday, November 8 at 7 p.m., inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
