STANFORD, Calif.—Lauren Macpherson won the all-around, and Jada Mazury won two event titles as the San José State women's gymnastics team opened the season with 195.850 in a meet at Stanford Saturday afternoon inside of Maples Pavilion.

- Macpherson tied career-best all-around score with a 39.325. She posted four solid scores with a 9.850 on beam and floor, 9.825 on bars and 9.800 on vault.
- Mazury won the bars with a 9.900, the first 9.900 for the Spartans this season, and followed that up with another 9.900 on floor to tie for first place.
- Jaudai Lopes was second in the all-around at 39.050, leading the vault team with a 9.825.
- Emma Milne led the beam team with a 9.875.
- The Spartan bars team started the meet strong with a 49.025, tying for the 10th-best bars school in school history.
- The beam team recorded a 49.150, the sixth-best beam score in school history and the first time an SJSU beam team has recorded that exact score.
- The 195.850 team score is the second-best opening-meet score in school history and only the second time the Spartans have scored a 195 or better in the first meet of the year.
