Spartans End Trip with 7-0 Win over Hawai'i Pacific

HONOLULU - Carolina Millan, Lara Marco Mas, Raquel Villan Pereira and Jovana Babic each won their singles and doubles matches to lead San José State (1-2) in a 7-0 win against Hawai'i Pacific (0-2) from the UH Tennis Complex Sunday afternoon to end their three dual match trip in Hawai'i.

  • Millan took her singles match 6-3, 6-4 while Marco Mas took hers 6-0, 7-5.
  • Villan Pereira won her singles match 3-6, 6-1, 6-1 and Babic won 5-7, 6-2, 10-8 (TB).
  • Alba Pedrero Galindo also won at singles going 6-3, 7-5 and so did Irena Muradyan who went 7-6 (3-0), 6-4.
  • Millan/Marco Mas took their doubles match 6-3 and Villan Pereira/Babic also won 6-3.
  • Marco Mas won all three double matches she played in this week and 2-of-3 single matches.
  • Millan took 2-of-3 single matches she played in this week.
  • This was the first 7-0 win for the Spartans since Feb. 24, 2018 against Puget Sound.
