ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Gabby Spencer and Jeremiah Walker have both earned MW Track and Field honors coming out of the Wesley A. Brown Invitational in which SJSU participated last weekend. Spencer won the Women's 200m Dash outright with a time of 24.35 while Walker took second place in the Men's 200m Dash with a time of 21.42 and helped the Men's 4x400 relay team to win their event.
- This is Walker's second consecutive week being named MW Men's Freshman of the Week, after he took the award with his efforts at the Spokane Indoor Invitational posting a time of 21.49 also in the 200m event.
- This is Spencer's first indoor award of the season after she was named to All-Mountain West and 200-Meter Dash Mountain West All-Conference in 2022.
- Emilia Sjostrand and Sophie Liao also took first place in their respective events along with the Men's 4x400 relay team consisting of Harry Overstreet, Christopher Coats, Jaden Smith and Walker as well.
