Macpherson Shines Friday Night As Spartans Record Another Successful Meet

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Lauren Macpherson had a gold-star night as she won the beam with a school-record tying 9.925, tied for first on bars and won the all-around with a career-best 39.375, as the San José State women's gymnastics team scored a 195.800 Friday night against Air Force inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.

  • Macpherson tied the beam record set seven times by teammate Emma Milne.
  • Macpherson scored a 39.375 in the all-around, tying for the sixth-best score in school history.
  • She, along with Emma Milne and Alexa Solomon, all tied for first on bars at 9.900.
  • Jaudai Lopes and Madison Kirsch tied for first on the vault at 9.850.
  • Jada Mazury made it a clean sweep of the event titles for the Spartans as she won the floor with a 9.925.
  • The Spartans scored a 49.150 on beam for the third time this season.
  • The team finished the meet with a 49.125 on floor.
  • The meet was televised live on NBC Sports Bay Area, the first gymnastics meet broadcast on the station.
