ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Osayi Omorodion, Demaris Waters, Roman Johnson, Cameron Tarver, and Shamond Brooks Jr. led SJSU in the second day of competition at the Don Kirby Invitational.
- Omorodion took third place in the Women's 60 Meter High Hurdles Finals with a time of 8.57, the fourth-best performance in school history. That came after Omorodion set a new school record in the preliminary round with a time of 8.47.
- In the Men's 60 Meter High Hurdles, Waters submitted a second-best all-time record and performance with a mark of 7.80. He beat his own personal record of 7.97 set earlier this season.
- Johnson, Tarver and Brooks Jr. each entered their names into the record books for the Men's 60 Meter Dash. Johnson's time of 6.73 is the new third all-time performance, and Brooks Jr.'s mark of 6.80 is good for the third-best record and fourth-best performance. Tarver's time of 6.83 is now the fourth-best record in school history, and fifth-best in performances.
- The Women's 4x400 Relay team set a new school record with a mark of 3:43.37. Sarah Mosteller, Alyssa Bean, Kaiya Johnson and Aliyah Williams anchored the squad as they finished fifth overall in the competition
- Christopher Coats, Jaden Smith, William Mullins and Jeremiah Walker broke the previous Men's 4x400m Relay record with a mark of 3:08.30. They placed fourth overall in competition.
