The San José State women's gymnastics team heads to the Capital City Friday night for an MPSF meet at Sacramento State inside The Nest at 7 p.m.
- This is the second of three regular-season meetings between the two teams. San José State won the earlier meeting, 195.150-194-570 on January 29.
- San José State will return to Sacramento State on March 3 for the Sacramento State Quad with Southern Utah and UC Davis.
- The Spartans had a successful meet against Air Force last Friday, scoring a 195.800.
- Lauren Macpherson won the all-around with a 39.375 and tied the beam school record with a 9.925.
- The team is currently ranked 33rd nationally as team, 18th on beam and 32nd on bars.
- The Spartans have the top gymnast in three events and the all-around in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.

- The Spartans have been rewarded for their performances this season by the MPSF. This week, Lauren Macpherson was named the Gymnast of the Week after winning the all-around title at UC Davis.

UP NEXT – The Spartans return home on Friday, February 24, for the team's annual Pink Meet. SJSU competes against UC Davis beginning at 7:30 p.m. inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
