ALBUQUERQUE, N. M.— Newly minted school record holders Lina Schubert, Osayi Omorodion, Cameron Tarver and Ajamu Reed lead the Spartans into the Mountain West Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center this Thursday through Saturday.
- Schubert, Reed, Omorodion and Tarver are only the most recent Spartans to break school records this season. A total of seven school records are currently held by athletes from the 2023 season.
- Emilia Sjostrand set the school record in the Women's Triple Jump with a mark of 13.37m (43'10.5") and Savana Dutton holds the record in the Women's 500m with a time of 1:21.42.
- Sarah Mosteller, Kaiya Johnson, Alyssa Bean and Aliyah Williams helped to set the record for the Women's 4x400m Relay with a mark of 3:43.91.
- Tarver currently holds the Men's 200m Dash school record with a time of 20.98 and Reed set the Men's Long Jump record after jumping a distance of 7.70m (25'3").
- Christopher Coats, Jaden Smith, Jeremiah Walker and William Mullins all contributed to set the school record for the Men's 4x400m Relay with a mark of 3:08.30.
