Spartans Kick Off Season With Two Wins

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Blaire Fleming and Nayeli Tia won twice in straight sets on Saturday as the San José State beach volleyball team kicked off the 2023 season with a 4-1 win against Pacific, and a 3-2 win against Santa Clara. 

  • Tessa Rogers and Teila Allen won in straight sets against both Pacific and Santa Clara. 
  • Isabelle Sistek and Meredith Scott went 1-1 on the day, defeating Pacific in straight sets. 
  • Siena Brewster and Amethyst Harper went 2-0 on the day, winning straight sets against Pacific, and needing three sets to win over Santa Clara.
