Moore's 29 Points Leads Spartans To Win Over Wyoming

SAN JOSE, Calif.—On the night he was honored for his 1,000 career points, Omari Moore sent the faithful home happy as he tied his career high with 29 points in San José State's 84-64 win over Wyoming Saturday night in a Mountain West game inside the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
 

  • Moore, who played all 40 minutes, was 10-of-22 from the field including 5-for-10 from three-point range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line.
  • Moore also dished out six assists which led to 17 Spartan points.
  • San José State improves to 14-9 overall and 5-5 in the MW.
  • For the second time this season, five Spartans scored in double figures for the win, this time all five starters made their time on the court count.
  • Sage Tolbert III scored 14 points and had five rebounds and three steals.
  • Alvaro Cardenas scored 13 points in 40 minutes of action and was 3-for-6 from three-point range and dished out two assists and grabbed two steals.
  • Ibrahima Diallo recorded his first double-double of the season and third of his Spartan career with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Trey Anderson had his fifth double-figure scoring game of the season with 10 points and added two assists, a steal and a block.
  • Moore moved up the San José State career book in two categories. He is now tied with Chris McNealy in blocks with 81 for fifth place and passed McNealy in steals for seventh place with 110.
  • The win ends a 12-game losing streak to the Cowboys and gives SJSU the third win in the series.
  • The Spartans now have 14 wins for the first time since the 2016-17 season when the team finished 14-16 overall and 7-11 in the MW.
