Spartans With a 196.300 At UC Davis On Sunday

DAVIS, Calif.—Emma Milne won two more event titles Sunday afternoon as the San José State women's gymnastics team scored a season-high 196.300 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation meet at UC Davis, who scored a 195.450. 

  • Milne tied for first on bars with a 9.850, winning for the third consecutive meet.
  • She won the beam with a 9.875 to claim the title for the second consecutive meet.
  • The 196.300 team score is the fifth-best in school history and the first time this season the Spartans have scored 196 or better.
  • The vault team scored a 49.000, tying for the seventh-highest vault score in school history. Jaudai Lopes, Madison Kirsch and Kyra Cato each received a 9.850 to lead the team.
  • The beam team scored a 49.075, to tie for the eighth-best beam score in SJSU history.
  • The floor team had a season-best 49.275, tying for the sixth-highest floor score. Jada Mazury and Lauren Macpherson each recorded a 9.900 to lead the team.
  • Macpherson won her second all-around title of the season with a 39.275.

UP NEXT – The Spartans host Air Force on Friday, February 10, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The meet will also be broadcast on NBC Sports Bay Area, the first-ever gymnastics meet to be broadcast on the channel.
