PHOENIX, Ariz.—Rebecca Gyllner won two matches on Monday as the No. 6 San José State women's golf team played against No. 11 Arizona State and No. 8 Texas Monday at the Cactus Cup hosted at the Papago Golf Club.

The Spartans tied 3-3 with the Sun Devils.
- Gyllner led for good after the fourth hole. She extended her lead to four on 15th and final hole of the match.
- Antonia Malate won 1 up and led her match from the first hole.
- Lucia Lopez Ortega won 2 up over Grace Summerhays, taking her first lead on the fourth hole and had a four-stroke lead after 13 holes. She birdied 18 to seal the win.
The Spartans fell 4-2 to the Longhorns.
- Gyllner again won her match 5&4, and took the lead in the match after the third hole and never trailed again.
- Kajsa Arwefjäll won 2&1, leading the match for 16 of the 17 holes played.
UP NEXT – The Spartans will compete against No. 4 South Carolina on Tuesday. At the end of the event, the winner of the most matches will be crowned the overall champion of the Cactus Cup.
