SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Lauren Macpherson tied a school record and nearly tied another as the San José State women's gymnastics team won the Sacramento State Quad meet with a 196.600 as the team scored a 49.000 or better on all four events inside The Nest.

- Macpherson couldn't let Emma Milne keep the beam record to herself as Macpherson scored a 9.950 in the first rotation to win the event.
- Macpherson tied Thomasina Wallace for the second-best all-around score at 39.550, just .025 short of Wallace's school record 39.575.
- The Spartans team score of 196.600 is the second-best in school history, just behind the 196.625 the program has recorded twice.
- San José State recorded a 49.000 or better on every event for the first time this season.
- The beam team started the meet with a 49.025, led by Macpherson's 9.950.
- The floor team scored a 49.400, the second-best floor score in school history. The floor team had just five gymnasts compete, so every score counted in the team score.
- Macpherson and Jada Mazury led the team on floor as each scored a 9.925.
- The vault team had a 49.125, tying for the second-best vault score, and was led by Jaudai Lopes at 9.850.
- The bars team finished the meet with a 49.050 as Emma Milne and Alexa Solomon each had a 9.850.
UP NEXT – The Spartans return to the Provident Credit Union Event Center this Sunday afternoon for a meet against Southern Utah at 2 p.m.. The Spartan seniors will compete at home for one final time and be honored after the meet – Ariana Castrence, Cameron Kelperis, Jada Mazury, Emma Milne and Alexa Solomon.
