SAN JOSE, Calif.—Robert Hamchuk went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a walk to lead the San José State baseball team (4-5, 2-0 Mountain West) in an 8-4 loss to Central Michigan (6-5, 0-0 MAC) on Monday afternoon at Excite Ballpark. 

  • Hamchuk was one of two Spartans to record a double as Jack Colette also notched a two-bagger.
  • RHP Nathan Hansen pitched a scoreless 1.2 innings in relief.
  • Colette registered his team-leading second stolen base of the season.
  • RHP Aaron Eden started the game and completed 4.0 innings, allowing five runs.
  • The Spartans had an impressive showing defensively, committing zero errors.
