Nine Spartans Named MPSF All-Academic Scholar Athletes

SAN JOSE, Calif.— Nine San José State University women's gymnasts have been honored for their achievements in the classroom by being named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Scholar Athletes.
 
The Spartans had seven of the nine gymnasts receive their second career honor after the award was on hiatus for the 2021 season.
 
To receive the distinction, gymnasts must have a 3.00 or better grade point average, be a sophomore academically, completed at least one full academic year at the institution prior to this season and competed in 50 percent or more of the institution's competitions.
