SAN JOSE, Calif.— San José State's Nayeli Tia and Blaire Fleming earned themselves the No. 4 pair spot on the Southland All-Conference Second Team after a strong regular season on the same side of the net.
- As a pair, Tia and Fleming are 6-3 together and have two conference wins
- The pair beat Nicholls State University's Alisha Wischkaemper and Bethanie Durant 21-19, 10-22, 15-10
- The two also beat out Ashley Salazar and Peixe de Carvalho of New Orleans 21-17, 12-21, 15-12
- In their only match together at the San José State tournament, the pair beat USF's Francesca Stanchus and Jolie Gutierrez 21-18, 19-21, 15-10
- Against Santa Clara, Fleming and Tia beat the Broncos' Hailey Benesz and Alexie Epstein 21-8, 21-18
UP NEXT: Tia and Fleming will join their teammates to compete in the Southland Conference Championship in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 21-23.
