USAFA, Colo.—Theo Hardy had three hits, an RBI and scored a run to lead the San José State baseball team (20-18, 13-7 Mountain West) in a 6-4 loss to Air Force (19-24, 12-10 Mountain West) on Friday afternoon at Falcon Field.
- Right-handed pitcher Nathan Hansen tossed 3.0 scoreless innings of relief, allowing only two hits and recording two strikeouts.
- Jack Colette hit an inside-the-park home run in the first inning, his fourth home run of the season.
- Charles McAdoo had two hits, including an RBI double.
- RHP Jonathan Clark allowed only two runs through the first five innings before getting into trouble in the sixth.
- Robert Hamchuk and James Shimashita each went 1-for-3 with a walk.
- Matt Spear registered an RBI with a sacrifice fly.
UP NEXT: The Spartans will play game two of the series against Air Force on Saturday, April 29 at Falcon Field. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m. MT/11 a.m. PT.
