AUSTIN, Texas—
Nik Trapani hit a three-run home run and also added a single to lead the San José State baseball team (24-24, 15-11 Mountain West) in an 18-6 loss to Texas (35-18, 12-9 Big 12) on Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. 

  • Dalton Bowling collected two RBIs with a double.
  • Theo Hardy and Hunter Dorraugh each reached base safely twice.
  • Dorraugh registered an RBI with a walk.
  • Right-handed pitcher Keaton Chase pitched a scoreless bottom of the fifth inning.
  • The Spartans took one out of three games at Texas, winning 6-4 in the series opener on Friday afternoon.
