SAN JOSE, Calif.— Emilia Sjostrand has been named Mountain West Women's Field Athlete of the Week and Sharli'e McCuller has earned Mountain West Women's Freshman of the Week after a strong showing at the Fresno State Invitational over the weekend.
- McCuller finished second in the Women's 200m Dash with a time of 23.45 seconds at the Fresno State Invitational.
- McCuller's mark is now the second-fastest in the 200m Dash in school history.
- Alongside teammates Sophie Liao, Gabby Spencer and Sarah Mosteller, McCuller led the Spartans to a race win in the Women's 400m Relay with a time of 44.43 seconds, which also set a new school record.
- Sjostrand took first place in the Women's Long Jump with a mark of 6.35m (20'10") at the Fresno State Invitational.
- Sjostrand's distance also set a new school record and broke her previously held Long Jump record of 6.25m (20'6.25"), which she set at the Stanford Invitational earlier this season.
UP NEXT: With the Spartans' regular season over, McCuller and Sjostrand will look forward to the Mountain West Outdoor Championships held May 11-14.
