Spartans Hold Annual Spring Game

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San José State football team held their annual spring game Saturday in front of a fun crowd of 6,389. The One Spartan Nation Brew Fest and hospitality area took up about one-third of the field and was crowded as the final FBS spring game started. Prior to the game, the great Lawrence Fan was inducted into the SJSU Sports Hall of Fame (story). The Spartans were one of only two Mountain West teams to stream their spring games.

"I thought today was great," head coach Brent Brennan said. "This was a great day out here. We had an awesome crowd. The hall of fame for Lawrence Fan was a really really nice event. Really really special to have Dr. Harry Edwards there. We had a bunch of fans here, a bunch of family. We had a great scrimmage...it was awesome. What a great day."

The Spartans open training camp at the end of July.
