STANFORD, Calif.—
Left-handed pitcher Jack White tossed 7.0 shutout innings, allowing only three hits while striking out seven to lead the San José State baseball team (21-22, 14-11 Mountain West) in a 4-0 win over San Diego State (20-23, 14-8 Mountain West) on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans lost 5-0 in the first game of the doubleheader but responded with the 4-0 win in the second game of the day. 

Game One

  • LHP Micky Thompson pitched 6.0 innings, allowing only three earned runs on six hits while striking out three.
  • Nik Trapani and Charles McAdoo each produced a hit for the Spartans.

Game Two

  • White made his first start of the year and earned his team-leading sixth win.
  • Neil Jansen and Robert Hamchuk each recorded two hits.
  • Jack Colette notched a two-run double in the first inning.
  • Matt Spear led the Spartans with a couple of walks.
  • Hunter Dorraugh registered his team-leading 17th double of the season.

UP NEXT: The Spartans and Aztecs will play the series finale on Sunday, May 7. First pitch is scheduled for 12:35 p.m. at Evans Diamond at Stu Gordon Stadium in Berkeley, Calif.
