SAN FRANCISCO – Ethan Ross struck out eight and Nathan Cadena had four hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs as San José State (23-22, 15-11 MW) knocked off the University of San Francisco (16-27, 7-17 WCC) 12-3 in its final mid-week contest of the season.
- Ross threw five innings while only surrendering one hit and one run to earn the win. He finished with eight strikeouts and only walked one batter.
- Cadena's four hits and RBIs are new career highs.
- Jack Colette drove in three of the 12 runs with three hits, including an RBI double with two outs in the seventh inning.
- Theo Hardy and Charles McAdoo each scored three runs.
- Nathan Hansen entered in relief of Ross in the sixth inning and struck out two in one and two-thirds innings of work.
- Hunter Dorraugh went 1-for-2 with two walks and a home run, his seventh of the season and 22nd of his career, moving him into fourth all-time at San José State.
